Hair Extension Facts & Maintenance

1. Do not wash your extensions until at least 48 hours after application.

You may experience a tension headache during the first few days after application; this is normal & will go away with time.

Sleep with your hair in a loose ponytail or braid. (ribbon elastics are my FAV)

Practice extra care when brushing the extensions. Do not brush aggressively or pull from the root. Brush extensions 2-3 times per day to avoid tangling.

When swimming wear a cap or keep hair out of chemically treated water.

Use moisturizing conditioners after washing & do a deep conditioning treatment to keep your hair extensions soft.

Do not over wash your extensions. Keep washing to a minimum of 3 times per week. Dry shampoo will become your best friend. (Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo brand.)

To avoid matting, do not wear your extensions for longer than 5 months.

Pull your bonds apart if you feel them matting together with other bonds.

When curling & straightening your hair, stay away from getting heat on the bond.

PLEASE follow these instructions carefully to ensure you get the best results from your hair extension experience.

Eyelash Extension Facts & Maintenance

It is important to not wet your eyelashes for at least 24 hours after your appointment. This will give the flu an appropriate amount of time to adhere. This means you should avoid steam rooms, saunas, and swimming during that period. Please do not face shower head while showering.

Do not ever use waterproof mascara on Eyelash Extensions. The ingredients in waterproof mascara will break down the bond of the glue. In addition, the removal of waterproof mascara requires an oil-based solution for removal. This type of solution or cleanser will also break down the bond of the glue.

Any type of mascara is not recommended to apply on eyelash extensions. (if you MUST make sure it is an oil-free mascara.)

ONLY use oil-free (that means water bases products only) products to remove eye makeup. When removing makeup, use a cotton swab to gently cleanse the area.

Do not use an eyelash curler on extensions, as it may break the bond of your extensions as well as causing your natural lashes to break of be damaged.

Be careful not to get your lashes caught on clothes when you’re dressing and undressing or towels when you’ve showered.

If you would like to remove your eyelash extensions, please schedule an appointment. Attempting to remove extensions yourself is not recommended, as it may cause breakage or loss of your natural lashes, and eye/eye lid irritation.

Please schedule refill appointments accordingly. Due to the natural life cycle of your natural lashes, refills should be booked at 2 to a maximum of 4 week intervals in order to maintain the fullness and longevity of your lash extensions.

Last but not least, BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH! Use a lash brush on a regular basis to comb and prevent any criss-crossing lashes, especially when you wake up after showering. Close one eye, and place the spoolie on top of your lashes, and then roll the brush over lashes to keep them defined.

PLEASE follow these after care instructions in order to maximize the life of your eyelash extensions.
